Vegetarian Festival Pattaya is the Thai-Chinese week when yellow flags go up, street kitchens drop meat, and a lot of the city eats tofu, mushrooms, and rice instead. When Vegetarian Festival Pattaya Happens

This is the Nine Emperor Gods period, not a Pattaya city council party with a stage on Beach Road. In most years it falls in September or October. Phuket’s version is the famous one. Pattaya’s is smaller: shrines, yellow flags on shops, and more vegetarian stalls than usual.

If a listing says a single Tuesday, treat it as a guess until TAT or a local Chinese shrine posts the nine days. The cafe does not close for it.

What It Feels Like on Pratumnak Hill

Pratumnak is not Walking Street. You will not see a parade every hour. You will see flags on Thai-Chinese shops, a few extra vegetable dishes, and quieter meat grills. Dongtan still works for a swim. Big Buddha is still a walk up the hill.
