Vegan Pattaya: Where to Eat on Pratumnak Hill

Vegan Pattaya: Where to Eat on Pratumnak Hill

Vegan Pattaya food exists. It requires knowing where to look. Most tourist-area restaurants are built around meat-heavy menus with a token salad as the vegetarian option.

Pratumnak Hill is different. The neighbourhood attracts a higher proportion of health-conscious long-stay visitors, and the cafes reflect that.

Vegan Pattaya Options at The Lunch Box Cafe

The Lunch Box Cafe at 338/6 Pratumnak Road has vegan options on the menu.

Cold-pressed juices from ฿115. All made in-house. No dairy, no additives. Full list in the cold-pressed juice in Pattaya guide.

Fourteen varieties total. The cold-press process preserves more nutrients than standard juicing. These are genuinely good and genuinely vegan.

Avocado and Bacon Toast at ฿185. Ask to hold the bacon. The base is plant-based on multigrain sourdough.

Scrambled Eggs with Avocado, Kale and Almond at ฿265. Ask without the eggs for a strictly vegan version. The kitchen will accommodate it.

The cafe is not a vegan restaurant. It serves a full Western menu including Full English breakfasts at ฿295. But for vegan visitors staying nearby or passing through Pratumnak, the juice menu and plant-based options are a genuine choice. The staff are straightforward about what is in any dish. Vegan Food More Broadly in Pattaya

Thai Buddhist restaurants. Look for yellow flags. These indicate fully vegetarian kitchens. Pattaya has several, particularly away from the tourist strip.

Indian restaurants. Indian By Nature is 674 metres from The Lunch Box Cafe (4.5 stars). Indian cuisine has a deep vegetarian tradition. Most Indian restaurants in Pattaya have extensive vegan menus: dhal, chana masala, vegetable curries, roti.

Supermarkets. Friendship Supermarket and Villa Market both stock plant-based milks, tofu, mock meats, and international vegan brands.

The Vegetarian Festival in October

Thailand’s Vegetarian Festival falls in October or November (dates vary by lunar calendar). During this period many restaurants in Pattaya go temporarily vegetarian or vegan for nine days. Yellow flags mark participating establishments. One of the most accessible times of year to eat vegan across the city with minimal effort.
