Where to Eat on Pratumnak Hill
Where to eat on Pratumnak Hill is a question visitors figure out quickly: the hill is residential, not a dining strip. Eating options are scattered. The Lunch Box Cafe at 338/6 Pratumnak Road is the clearest answer for daytime eating - it covers breakfast and lunch from 8am to 5pm, seven days a week.
What The Lunch Box Cafe Serves
The cafe runs from 8am to 5pm, covering the full daytime eating window.
Breakfast is the main event. Full English Breakfast at ฿295 - two eggs, back bacon, pork sausages, grilled mushrooms, roasted tomatoes, Branston baked beans, toast, and tea or coffee included in the price. Small English at ฿195 if you want something lighter. Poached eggs on sourdough at ฿125. Avocado dishes from ฿185. Everything made to order, nothing pre-cooked.
Lunch runs from the same kitchen. Paninis and grilled sandwiches - chicken pesto, caprese, smoked salmon, classic egg and mayo. Salads including chicken Caesar and prawns avocado pesto. Soups: broccoli and spinach, carrot and ginger, pumpkin. Prices from ฿125 to ฿295. Good options for anyone working through the afternoon who wants something light.
The juice bar is fourteen cold-pressed varieties made fresh daily. Green juice ฿125, beet detox ฿125, yellow turmeric ฿125, orange ฿145, apple ฿115. No pasteurised cartons. Not something you find at most cafes on this side of Pattaya.

The Area
Pratumnak Hill sits between central Pattaya and Jomtien. The main road - Pratumnak Road - runs through the hill and connects both areas. The hill is residential: condos, long-stay apartments, and a few hotels. No bar strip, no tourist restaurants, no inflated prices.
The cafe is at 338/6, opposite the Tara Court Hotel. Landmarks in each direction: Big Buddha (Wat Phra Yai) is 150 metres up the hill on foot. Dongtan Beach is walkable down the hill. Tesco Lotus and a 7-Eleven are directly across the road. Asia Pattaya Hotel is about 2km south on Pratumnak Road. Royal Cliff Hotels is further along in the same direction toward Jomtien.
The hill sits at the midpoint between two very different versions of Pattaya. Central Pattaya and Walking Street are 5 minutes by car. Jomtien Beach and its quieter strip are in the other direction. Most people who choose to stay on Pratumnak chose it because of that balance.
Who Eats Here
The regulars are mostly expats who live on or near Pratumnak and have made The Lunch Box a daily stop. Some come in for the full English every morning. Others come for the juice or a coffee and stay an hour with a laptop. The morning crowd is a mix of people with somewhere to be and people who are in no rush.
Tourists staying at the nearby hotels find it on Google Maps. Guests at Grosvenor House - the serviced apartments directly above the cafe - have it on their doorstep and often eat here most mornings during their stay.
“Been here many times. Quiet place to have a good breakfast!” - Google Review
It is not a tourist restaurant. No show, no upselling, no menus designed to catch your eye. You order, you get proper food, you stay as long as you like.
The cafe holds 4.8 stars from over 185 reviews on Google Maps.
