Cosy Beach Pattaya: The Quiet Stretch Below Pratumnak Hill
Cosy Beach Pattaya is the small bay at the foot of Pratumnak Hill, between Dongtan and the north end of Jomtien. People also spell it Cozy Beach. Same sand. It is a local beach, not a day-trip destination.
If you are staying on the hill, this is the water you actually use. Pattaya Beach is a strip of jet skis and vendors. Jomtien is a proper long beach but it is a drive. Cosy Beach is the one you walk to.
What Cosy Beach Pattaya Is Like
The beach is short. A few hundred metres of sand, loungers, umbrellas, and a handful of beach restaurants. The water is usually calmer than the main bay. Weekday mornings are quiet. Weekends in high season (November to February) fill up with residents from the hill and guests from the nearby hotels.
It is not a wilderness beach. There are bars and music later in the day. Compared with Walking Street it is still calm. Compared with an empty island it is not.
Dongtan Beach sits next door, on the Pattaya Bay side of the headland. The Dongtan Beach Pattaya guide covers that stretch if you want the quieter morning swim without the Cosy Beach bar strip.
Getting There from Pratumnak Road
From The Lunch Box Cafe at 338/6 Pratumnak Road, walk downhill toward the sea. Ten to fifteen minutes on foot. Two minutes on a motorbike. Grab barely registers as a fare.
There is little car parking at the sand. Motorbikes fit on the sois. If you are in Grosvenor House or any of the Pratumnak apartments, walking is the practical option.
Big Buddha (Wat Phra Yai) is 150 metres from the cafe. The hill, the temple, and the beach sit in a tight triangle. That is why people who live here stop going to Pattaya Beach.
Cosy Beach vs Dongtan vs Jomtien
Cosy Beach Pattaya - the social beach at the bottom of the hill. Restaurants on the sand. Busier in the afternoon.
Dongtan - shorter, quieter, used by people who live on Pratumnak and want a swim before 10am.
Jomtien - the long beach. Space, kitesurfers at the far end, a 10-minute drive. Use it when you want a full beach day.

Breakfast Before the Beach
The Lunch Box Cafe opens at 8am, seven days. Full English at ฿295 including tea or coffee. Cold-pressed juice from ฿115. You eat on Pratumnak Road, then walk down while it is still cool.
