Three months in Pattaya is achievable on a standard tourist visa with one border run. No specialist visa required, no bank deposit, no consulate appointment before you arrive.
The Visa
Most nationalities get a 30-day stamp at the airport on arrival. Take that to Jomtien immigration and extend it once for another 30 days. Cost: ฿1,900. Total so far: 60 days.
For the full 90 days, do one border run. A minibus from Pattaya to the Cambodian border takes about four hours each way. Exit Thailand, re-enter, get a fresh 30-day stamp. Extend that at Jomtien. Cost: around ฿1,500-2,000 for the run, ฿1,900 for the extension.
Total visa cost for 90 days: around ฿4,000. Thousands of people do it every month. It is not complicated.
